Senior Credit Analyst
The role
You will help shape lending decisions across consumer portfolios, owning strategies and improving performance. This is a hands-on role focused on driving decisions and outcomes, not just reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimise credit strategies across the customer lifecycle
- Investigate portfolio trends, risks and opportunities
- Recommend and implement data-driven changes to improve outcomes
- Support new lending initiatives
- Present clear analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Use SQL, Python, SAS or similar tools to solve problems and automate processes
- Work with Decision Scientists to get the most from predictive models
- Support junior analysts
- Collaborate with teams across the business
About you
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative subject
- Substantial experience in credit risk strategy, portfolio analytics or decision science
- Experience developing credit strategies in consumer lending
- Good understanding of portfolio management and underwriting
- Experience with credit reference agency data and decisioning systems
- Strong SQL skills, with experience in SAS, Python or similar tools
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders with insight
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
