Broadgate is partnered with a leading admin services provider in Germany looking to Hire a Senior Accountant. This person will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, ensuring compliance with HGB, IFRS, and local accounting standards. Responsibilities include:Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with HGB and IFRS.Post and review journal entries, with a focus on fixed assets, equity, provisions, liabilities, shareholder and external loans.Manage onboarding of new entities (SPVs), including review of legal documentation and contracts.Reconcile, validate, and upload financial data (e.g., rental accounting).Deliver ad-hoc client reports and analysis as required.Oversee own deliverables, including payment processing and monitoring.Prepare VAT returns and statistical filings (e.g., Bundesbank reports).Train, mentor, and develop accounting team members, providing performance feedback.Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring appropriate oversight and support.Drive process efficiency, automation, and workflow improvements.Collaborate with clients, internal teams, banks, auditors, legal counsel, and tax advisors.Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery. Requirements:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax, or qualified Certified Accountant (IHK).4–5 years’ experience as a senior/general ledger accountant, ideally within an international audit firm, private equity, or asset/investment management environment.Experience with SPV/investment accounting desirable.Strong knowledge of HGB; IFRS knowledge advantageous.Fluency in German and English (spoken and written).Proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused with a collaborative mindset.Confident user of accounting systems (DATEV, SAP, MS Office). Apply with us today!
