Credit Administration Officer Location: New York, NY
Broadgate Search is partnering with a well-established German banking institution with a strong presence in New York to appoint a Credit Administration Officer into its Credit function. This role sits within a collaborative and highly regulated environment, supporting a broad portfolio of lending and trade finance activities.
Role Overview As part of the Credit team, the Credit Administration Officer will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of new and existing credit transactions, ensuring all facilities are accurately recorded and maintained in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role has a strong focus on credit operations, collateral management, monitoring, and reporting, and will work closely with internal stakeholders across Credit, Risk, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate recording and maintenance of credit transactions within internal credit systems
  • Monitoring and invoicing of scheduled principal and interest payments
  • Tracking credit review and internal rating timelines
  • Verification and satisfaction of conditions precedent
  • Management and monitoring of collateral, including valuations
  • Ongoing data quality checks and reconciliations across credit accounts
  • Processing of letters of credit and bank guarantees
  • Preparation and processing of loan loss provisions
  • Support for regulatory and internal reporting requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications Education
  • Formal training in credit administration; a college degree is preferred
Professional Experience
  • 5 years’ experience in credit administration or credit operations within a banking environment
  • Hands-on experience processing letters of credit and guarantees
Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with bank credit systems; exposure to SAP is advantageous
Personal Competencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • German language skills and familiarity with German or European banking regulation (e.g. BaFin / ECB) are beneficial but not required
