Responsibilities include:
  • You’ll take full responsibility for overseeing a Private Office function — balancing client relationships, investment delivery, and team leadership.
  • Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with high-value clients and professional introducers
  • Acting as a key figure in winning new business and expanding existing relationships
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team — ensuring a high standard of service and smooth day-to-day operations
  • Overseeing client portfolios, ensuring they are aligned to objectives, risk profiles and market conditions
  • Keeping a close eye on market trends and contributing to investment strategy and decision-making
  • Reviewing and approving investment activity, ensuring robust governance, accuracy and compliance
  • Managing portfolio performance reporting, client communications and investment commentary
  • Overseeing trading activity, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and strong controls
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for client queries, issues or operational challenges
  • Driving improvements across processes, systems and third-party relationships
  • Supporting and leading on change initiatives, regulatory developments and operational enhancements
  • Ensuring a strong culture of client-centricity, good outcomes and regulatory compliance across all activities
 
Key requirements:
  • Professional qualification (e.g. Level 6/7, CFA, CISI or equivalent) or working towards
  • Experience in private client investment management, wealth management or a similar setting
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction and investment products
  • Strong track record of managing client relationships and investment portfolios
  • Confident leading and developing a team
  • Comfortable operating in a regulated environment with a strong grasp of compliance expectations
  • You’ll be someone who enjoys combining client interaction, leadership and investment expertise in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills — able to explain complex ideas in a clear, client-friendly way
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple priorities
