Responsibilities include:
- You’ll take full responsibility for overseeing a Private Office function — balancing client relationships, investment delivery, and team leadership.
- Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with high-value clients and professional introducers
- Acting as a key figure in winning new business and expanding existing relationships
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team — ensuring a high standard of service and smooth day-to-day operations
- Overseeing client portfolios, ensuring they are aligned to objectives, risk profiles and market conditions
- Keeping a close eye on market trends and contributing to investment strategy and decision-making
- Reviewing and approving investment activity, ensuring robust governance, accuracy and compliance
- Managing portfolio performance reporting, client communications and investment commentary
- Overseeing trading activity, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and strong controls
- Acting as a senior escalation point for client queries, issues or operational challenges
- Driving improvements across processes, systems and third-party relationships
- Supporting and leading on change initiatives, regulatory developments and operational enhancements
- Ensuring a strong culture of client-centricity, good outcomes and regulatory compliance across all activities
Key requirements:
- Professional qualification (e.g. Level 6/7, CFA, CISI or equivalent) or working towards
- Experience in private client investment management, wealth management or a similar setting
- Solid understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction and investment products
- Strong track record of managing client relationships and investment portfolios
- Confident leading and developing a team
- Comfortable operating in a regulated environment with a strong grasp of compliance expectations
- You’ll be someone who enjoys combining client interaction, leadership and investment expertise in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills — able to explain complex ideas in a clear, client-friendly way
