This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, develop strategic partnerships, and personally secure high-value opportunities across financial services, compliance, consulting, and professional services sectors.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Business Development Managers to deliver consistently high performance.
  • Personally manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities and achieve individual revenue targets.
  • Optimise and embed scalable, insight-driven sales processes.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with referral partners to generate quality new business.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to align campaigns, lead generation, and pipeline development.
  • Deliver solution-led proposals and board-level presentations tailored to client requirements.
  • Work closely with sector heads and consultants to anticipate client challenges and shape solutions.
  • Partner with delivery leaders to capture feedback and inform product and technology development.
  • Provide internal sales training to enhance consultative selling skills and promote commercial awareness.
  • Represent the firm at industry events to strengthen brand presence and create new client opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting through CRM and performance data.
  • Support international expansion and M&A integration by contributing to go-to-market strategies. 
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in B2B sales leadership, ideally within financial services, compliance, consulting, or professional services.
  • Demonstrable success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience coaching and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong skills in pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM utilisation.
  • Skilled in developing impactful proposals and delivering persuasive presentations.
  • Experience building referral networks and strategic partnerships.
  • Effective collaboration with marketing to drive campaigns and lead generation.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and boards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations or the compliance consulting landscape advantageous.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
