Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to attract new mandates and expand the client base.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and maximise revenue potential.
- Build strong relationships with intermediaries, attending industry events, networks, and conferences to enhance market visibility.
- Manage the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation, onboarding, and handover to client service teams.
- Conduct detailed market research to identify growth opportunities in new customer segments and geographies.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing and client services, to ensure a coordinated, client-focused approach.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the firm’s fund service offerings, systems, and capabilities to provide tailored solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments to inform strategic direction and enhance competitiveness.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience within the funds industry, ideally at senior manager level or above.
- Demonstrable success in business development, with a track record of securing new clients and mandates.
- Strong existing network and relationships within the funds sector, with the ability to leverage trusted intermediary connections.
- Solid understanding of fund structuring and regulatory frameworks across private capital strategies (PE, VC, Debt, Real Estate, etc.).
- Experience in multiple fund jurisdictions such as Jersey, Guernsey, Ireland, and/or Luxembourg.
- Background in fund management, investor relations, management consulting, or professional services (audit/advisory) is advantageous.
- Skilled in leading sales processes, conducting negotiations, and closing deals at senior executive or board level.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Professionally qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) and/or holding a relevant degree in finance, business, or economics.
