Depositary Manager Location: Luxembourg

About the Role We are seeking a Depositary Manager to join a growing alternative funds services platform in Luxembourg. The position sits within the Depositary team and focuses on servicing a diverse portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate funds. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day depositary oversight activities, drive client delivery, and support the development of best-practice processes aligned with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities Client & Relationship Management
• Act as primary point of contact for a portfolio of PE and RE clients.
• Build strong working relationships with AIFMs, fund managers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
• Lead regular client calls, reviews and deliverables; ensure timely escalation of issues.

Oversight & Control
• Perform ongoing cash flow monitoring and oversight of reconciliations.
• Review and monitor asset ownership verification for private equity and real estate investments.
• Conduct oversight of investment restrictions, valuation processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform due diligence reviews on administrators, delegates, and counterparties.
• Ensure adherence to AIFMD requirements and CSSF circulars/supervisory expectations.

Operations & Deliverables
• Review and sign off detailed depositary reports, breaches, and monitoring files.
• Oversee completion of annual due diligence, onsite visits, and periodic sampling work.
• Identify, document, and mitigate risks within the oversight framework.
• Support internal audit queries, regulator requests, and client-specific projects.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement
• Provide guidance to junior team members and support their development.
• Contribute to workflow optimisation and the enhancement of internal methodologies.
• Partner with senior management to refine monitoring tools and reporting frameworks.

Key Requirements
• 5–7 years of experience in Depositary, AIFM oversight, Fund Administration, Audit or a related role focused on Private Equity and Real Estate structures.
• Strong understanding of AIFMD, CSSF regulations, industry best practices and PE/RE fund mechanics.
• Hands-on experience with cash flow monitoring, asset verification, and oversight controls.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and comfort navigating complex fund structures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage clients confidently and professionally.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English; French or German is an advantage.
