Broadgate is currently partnering with a specialist UK bank looking to appoint a Chief Risk Officer to join its Executive Committee.
This isn’t a “sit back and oversee” CRO role. It’s a visible, hands-on position in a lean organisation where you’ll combine board-level influence with real ownership of the risk agenda.
You’ll be shaping how risk supports growth—without losing sight of strong regulatory discipline.
You’ll act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Board, bringing clarity and challenge around risk appetite, strategy, and key decisions, while ensuring the bank’s frameworks remain robust, proportionate, and fit for purpose.
The role spans credit, capital and liquidity, operational resilience, and cyber risk, with direct involvement in areas such as ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing, and recovery planning. You’ll also be the primary interface with UK regulators, so credibility and confidence in that space are essential.
What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is the environment: a focused, internationally connected bank with clear ambitions, where the CRO has genuine influence and the ability to make a tangible impact.
