Terry has over 10 years’ recruitment experience, and specialises in the appointment of mid-to-senior Risk and Compliance talent across the UK regions, with a particular focus on the Retail and Commercial Lending, Debt Management and Professional Services sectors. Appointed to oversee the initial growth of Broadgate’s Manchester practice following its opening in May 2018, Terry has completed a number of high-profile Executive Search assignments during this time on behalf of clients undergoing significant periods of growth and/or transition.
Edward is Head of Banking at RegTech platform provider TruNarrative and has over 15 years’ experience in risk and financial crime management, having previously led digital transformation change projects at Banco Santander as well as having been the UK Financial Crime Manager and global fraud lead at a Swedish Bank. Prior to his career in banking and financial services Edward held senior intelligence analyst positions in UK Government Counter-Terrorism and Serious and Organised Crime organisations.
James brings a 20-year track record of leadership, spanning banking, telecoms, digital, and outsourcing, joining the Board of Webhelp as its Chief Risk & Technology Officer in April 2019. James was previously a senior leader within Lloyds Banking Group’s Transformation Division and a Group Director of Orange. James takes the rigor of risk best practice and combines with innovative techniques and technology to tackle some of the most complex transformation issues. These include safe scaling of AI, legacy architecture transformation, and cyber.
Emma has worked in the UK, France, Australia and the Cayman Islands having spent 12 years in private practice as a solicitor before moving into financial services 10 years ago. Currently the Chief Risk Officer, Pensions for the Embark Group she was very involved in the FCA’s recent market study into the platforms industry and has been particularly engaged in recent years with the regulatory aspects of people in financial services including training and competence, remuneration and the Senior Managers & Certification Regime.
Karen is Director of Compliance, MLRO and DPO for Yorkshire Building Society. YBS is the third largest building society in the UK, and focuses primarily on mortgages and savings. Karen’s background is firmly entrenched in regulatory compliance, having gained a comprehensive, practical application of the financial services regulatory environment through roles at (what was) the Financial Services Authority. Karen also spent three years with PwC in Manchester, where she established a team to provide a wide-spectrum of services to a range of industries and businesses, in response to the changing regulatory environment, technology and client needs.
Zarina has over nine years of working in the financial industry, working predominantly in the Technology and Operational Risk functions. Currently working in TSB, Zarina supports critical business function in CIO, Technology Resilience, Information Security to name a few. Zarina has always had an interest in the Financial Industry which led her to chose her degree discipline in this area too, it's a constantly evolving environment that creates lots of exciting new opportunities.
