Broadgate Search Social are hosting a panel debate to take place on June 19th at 6.00pm - 10.00pm at ThinkRise in Liverpool Street, London.
The event is titled “How to achieve as a Fintech Start-Up – Routes to Funding” it will be a panel debate discussing the various options open to a new firm within the Fintech space, whilst uncovering the different ways of funding. Discussing how to be successful in Series A & B funding rounds, as well as alternative ways of raising capital (equity & debt).

Adrian’s career has included roles as Group Customer Development Director at Lloyds Banking Group, Litigation Partner at Dentons solicitors, IT & Operations Director in the Lloyd’s of London Insurance Market, and as a Fintech Supervisor at the Dubai Financial Services Authority, specialising in the policy design, implementation, delivery and operation of its Regulatory Sandbox.
Gilad is a seasoned fintech entrepreneur with extensive background in M&A. Gilad was the Head of Fintech of Lloyds Banking Group, where he harnessed relationships with FinTechs and disruptive techs to support Lloyds Banking Group digital market leadership and transformation. Prior to LBG, Gilad did a variety of roles as a founder, CEO, Director and advisory board member in multiple fintechs including EZBOB, Satago (acquired by Oxygen Finance), Paze and others, more specifically around alternative lending platforms, credit decisioning systems and BFM. Gilad was also the turnaround CFO of Insightix (acquired by McAfee) and had been doing M&A and audit at Ernst & Young M&A and High-tech practice.
Chris is the Chief Financial Officer of Sonovate, a high growth business disrupting the world of invoice finance. Sonovate provide a tech enabled solution and the requisite funding to help businesses manage their temporary workers and contractors. Chris joined Sonovate in May 2018 having spent 14 years with PwC. For the last six years of Chris’ career at PwC he led businesses through periods of significant change, including IPO’s, M&A and debt and equity funding particularly in the technology and financial services sectors.
Michael is the founder of Flow Fintech Ltd, a start-up focused on developing products under PSD2 and Open Banking. At the time of the panel discussion he will be in week 8 of this new venture. Having submitted a licence application to the FCA and trademark applications for the products Flow is designing, he’s turning his attention to funding (beyond his own pocket!), so brings a real-time perspective to the debate.
