The position
- Design and implement a forward-looking, risk-led assurance programme aligned to business priorities
- Provide independent insight across governance, operational risk and internal controls
- Deliver clear, commercially relevant reporting to executive leadership and Board committees
- Drive continuous improvement across audit methodology, reporting and technology use
- Partner with senior stakeholders to enhance accountability and control maturity
- Promote a coordinated approach across risk, compliance and other assurance functions
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing audit team
- Experienced internal audit leader within a complex commercial environment
- Strong exposure to senior executive and Board-level engagement
- Proven ability to build or transform an audit function
- Commercially minded with strong influencing capability
- Effective people leader with a focus on team development
