We’d like to wish our Hindu, Sikh, and Jain community a colourful and peaceful Diwali.
Diwali originates from the Sanskrit word ‘deepavali,’ which means ‘rows of lighted lamps.’ It is a festival for new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil; celebrations usually include lighting fireworks and oil lamps, visiting family, and sharing feasts.
With the current lockdown, Diwali celebrations have had to adapt in order to commemorate the five-day festival safely. Whether you’ve enjoyed a virtual firework display, a zoom party, or simply an individual self-reflection with prayer, we hope you were able to enjoy the occasion in your own, special way.
May your future be as colourful, shimmering, and magical as the lights of Diwali!
