Job description

As a Financial Crime Analyst, you'll support the Financial Crime Manager in preventing and detecting financial crimes like money laundering and fraud. Your duties include policy development, assisting investigations, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and controls to prevent and detect financial crimes.
  • Provide guidance to business units on financial crime prevention matters.
  • Conduct risk assessments and monitor transactions for suspicious activities.
  • Assist in investigating suspected financial crime incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on financial crime prevention.
  • Assist in liaising with external stakeholders and preparing regulatory reports.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements.

Your Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Previous experience in Financial Crime Prevention within the financial services industry.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial crime prevention software and tools.
  • Experience in conducting financial crime investigations.
