It is everyone’s responsibility to promote a culture of diversity and inclusion in their organisation. At the recent Dive in Festival, I saw Dame Stella Rimmingon speak who commented regarding the topic; “it is slightly late in the day, but you are doing it. It is very important and if you work hard at it, you will do it, and that is exactly what you are doing” I found this to be a thought-provoking comment that we, at Broadgate Search, would fully endorse.
Broadgate Search is passionate about its involvement in the on-going growth and development of our business. We recognise that Corporate Social Responsibility is of increasing concern and importance to our clients, candidates and future business partners.
Our company is strongly affiliated with several charitable organisations most notably Peter McVerry Trust in Ireland and Ex-Military Careers in the UK. Peter McVerry Trust is a homeless and housing charity, committed to reducing homelessness, harm caused by substance misuse and social disadvantage. The charity was established in 1983 by Fr Peter McVerry to respond to the growing issue of youth homelessness in Dublin. Since then, it has supported thousands of vulnerable people on the margins of Irish society. Peter McVerry Trust provides low-threshold entry services, primarily to younger people and vulnerable adults with complex needs, and offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model. Broadgate Search employees provide on-going assistance to Peter McVerry trust through “back to work” initiatives including to CV writing classes, interview preparations and career guidance. We encourage our employees to volunteer throughout the year in various events aimed to raise funds in support of our charitable partners.
